More fun with my Scraps of Darkness Foundations Kit

Here is a lo I did of my dh from our cruise back in 2009. This was in San Juan at Fort San Cristobal. Can you believe construction was first started on this place all the way back in 1539. It was even used during World War II. Really cool place to see.

k... so I am trying to have all kinds of fun with my Dusty Attic pieces this month and try new things. Here are two of my latest creations... The fencing thing is pretty basic. I painted it black then added Picket Fence Crackle Paint and accented with my Distress Powders in Walnut Stain and Brushed Corduroy. The vines are actually covered with crumpled tissue paper that I first glued on to the piece and then tore off the excess, which really came off pretty easily. Then I add a blend of Lettuce, Oregano, and Gold Alcohol Ink to give it some color.

Here is a closeup of the San Juan title. I wanted to make it look like it had sand on the bottom so I added some Brushed Corduroy Distress Powder. I also added Distress Stickles in Scattered Straw to the hour glass, along with a little gold alcohol ink and some Plaid Liquid Embossing Glass Finish stuff that I have in an Antique color.
